Axat has two restaurants a short stroll from the Holiday Gite. Le Petit Ourse (The Little Bear) an old fashioned French restaurant with 50's decor and cute display of bears. Interior dining tables overlook the river. Serving a fine A la Carte menu and traditional dishes at reasonable prices.
Le Central with outside eating on the patio overlooking the riverside. Serves value for money quality meals. Varying choice of salads, pizzas, steak and frites. Inside a typical French café bar atmosphere.
If its just a cake and coffee you want try the boulangerie's salon de thé. Good selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries.

There are some excellent restaurants in Quillan only 20 minutes from our Holiday Gite. We highly recommend Nord Sud.
