Pic du Pech Cardou is a wonderful trail for walking enthusiasts. At the Rialsesse river bridge follow an old path that led to Rennes les Bains before construction of its current (D14) road.
Well marked trail although steep to begin, it starts to level out and a detour to Mountferrand is signposted. A lovely shaded picnic area approximately 1 hr from the summit.
At the summit of Pech Cardou beautiful panoramic views across the valley of the Salz. Look for Serres Holiday Villa, visible too ruins of Chateau de Blanchefort on Bézis Gorge, Arques, Peyrolles village and impressive Pyrenees mountains.
