Remarkable landscape with diverse tropical flora and fauna, pure Pyrenees mountain air and
stunning views make hiking a real pleasure.

Pic de Bugarach 1231 metres the highest mountain in Aude. A 15km 7hrs walk with RED
WHITE GR36 YELLOW and BLUE routes. Cascades, Roman Bridge and a large lake perfect
for picnic's, barbecue or swimming depart from the base of the village.

Mount Pech Cardou 795m opposite the villa in Serres offers a 8km walk 4 hours YELLOW
rambling in a pine scented forest. Departs from the mill to Chateau de Blanchefort ruins,
Gorges de Bezis.

Rennes les Bains 5.5km 2hrs YELLOW RED walk departs from the sports area. See the
Devils armchair and Trembling rock ancient landmarks.

Arques 11km 4HRS YELLOW departs from the village very picturesque.

Terre Rouge 12km 5hrs YELLOW departs from Cassaignes to Peyrolles, Serres and back.

Rennes le Chateau 13km 3hrs 30mn YELLOW departs from the village

SOUGRAINE 13km 5hrs YELLOW departs from the village discover the source of the Salz a
salt water river although its miles from the sea.

Organised walks are available and advertised at the local Tourism centre's in Axat, Rennes-
les-Bains and Couiza.
